Help
Cloud Approver is invite-only during alpha. If you do not have an account yet, request an invite from the home page or use the live demo to explore a masked customer account. During the alpha phase, Cloud Approver is $0.00 while the product is invite-only and available until October 1, 2026.
Getting started
- Request an invite or create an account with a referral code.
- Add a supported AWS account, Azure subscription, or Google Cloud project.
- Follow the provider-native read-only setup instructions shown in the app.
- Confirm the connection so Cloud Approver can verify the expected read-only access.
- Let scheduled scans collect recommendations, inventory, approvals, scan history, reports, and workload context.
Cloud account setup and permission checks
Cloud Approver uses the normal setup pattern for each supported cloud. AWS uses CloudFormation to create a read-only role, Azure uses customer-approved reader-style subscription access, and Google Cloud uses project-level IAM bindings for the scanner service account.
The normal scanner path does not install agents, does not ask for administrator access, and does not change customer infrastructure. Scans recheck the configured read-only grants and stop if unexpected extra permissions are detected.
Recommendations
Recommendations are the main action list. They translate scanner evidence into plain-language items for cost waste, public exposure, stale access, weak monitoring, missing encryption, missing backups, approval issues, unapproved inventory, changed approved configuration, or reliability risks.
When a recommendation needs more context, open the recommendation detail page. From there, customers can request expert help and keep the request tied to the original recommendation.
Inventory, approvals, and workloads
Inventory shows the resources Cloud Approver can see in connected accounts. Approvals let customers generate resource-specific approval tags and then monitor whether those tags remain current.
Workloads connect approved inventory to a business purpose such as a product, client, department, migration, environment, initiative, or budget owner. A workspace can organize resources from multiple accounts and supported clouds into the same workload, so teams can review what belongs together instead of jumping between provider consoles.
Reports and scan history
Reports summarize the current account and workspace picture for savings, recommendations, inventory, approval posture, and scan health. Scan history shows when scans ran, which checks completed, which provider calls were logged, and where a connection or scanner issue needs attention.
Demo mode
The live demo opens a masked customer view. Names, identifiers, inventory values, request details, account IDs, resource IDs, and ARNs are obscured where they can appear while the screens remain representative of the product.
Billing and subscriptions
Alpha pricing is $0.00 while the product is invite-only and available until October 1, 2026. Public pricing may show the planned spend-under-management fee structure so customers can understand what pricing is expected after alpha. If paid subscriptions are enabled for your account later, billing and recurring charges are handled by Stripe. Cancellation and renewal details are described in the Terms of Service.
Support requests
Signed-in customers can use the Support menu at any time for setup help, CloudFormation launch issues, recommendation guidance, account review, product questions, or security and privacy concerns. Support requests can carry recommendation context so the request stays connected to the original finding.
Public visitors can request an invite from the home page and include questions in the request. Security questions before signup can also be sent to hello@cloudapprover.com.
Suggest a scan
Invite requests can include an idea for a scan Cloud Approver should add. If your suggested scan becomes part of the service, Cloud Approver will credit you 6 months.
